Here there are components for setting up self-designed experiments. Simple examples are the quantitative measurement of the polarization properties of light, light diffraction at double/multiple slits or the construction of a Michelson interferometer. If you already own a microscope or telescope or would like to build one yourself, you can expand it with the appropriate adapters for digital image acquisition and data evaluation.
To set up our experiments, we use an aluminium profile measuring 60 mm x 30 mm from ITEM as an optical rail, but the components are also compatible with other profiles or optical tables. A profile length of 500 mm to 750 mm has proven to be useful. In order to keep the optical structure as stable as possible, we use "posts" with a height of 35 mm as standard. The following components are available:
The base turns the aluminium profile into an optical bench. If necessary, the entire system can be easily levelled using the individually adjustable feet or adapted to uneven surfaces.

The post-mount can be used to attach and adjust various optical components on the bench/table.

The holder holds rectangular mirrors measuring 40 mm x 30 mm or round mirrors with a diameter of 1". With the help of the mirror holder, the mirrors can be easily adjusted along the two axes of rotation and thus enable the construction of Michelson interferometers and more.

The mount holds rectangular filters or polarisers measuring 25.4mm x 25.4mm. The clamping mechanism allows filters to be changed quickly and easily, or the polariser orientation can be changed simply by rotating it.

The rotation mount holds rectangular polarisers (e.g. filter foil) with the dimensions 25.4mm x 25.4mm. The applied scaling allows rotation angles of 5° or more to be set.

A simple but stable 2-axis mount for attaching smaller cameras (for example C-mount) with UNC or M6 thread. Also webcams or smartphones can be clamped. The mount fits to our printable table tripod or other tripod rods (< 12 mm diameter).
A small table tripod, suitable for the camera mount. By means of an adapter, tripod rods up to approx. 50 cm in length can also be reliably attached. For longer tripod rods, the base can be screwed to a solid wooden plate or similar for weighting.
This camera holder can be used to integrate and align any C-mount camera in the body, regardless of the housing. The camera can be attached via the C-mount - 1.25" adapter piece using the clamping device.

This case holds the HQ camera module and a Raspberry Pi Zero (W). The resulting C-mount camera offers good performance at a relatively low price and can be used in our own projects, for example, in our spectrometer or as a webcam.
Various knobs for cylinder head screws with M3/M4/M6 or M8 thread.
