Suitable for our USB spectrometer

... there is now the corresponding software! It is not only suitable for reading and controlling the connected spectrometer, but also has a lot of other features for a variety of applications. Thus, the investigation of the solar spectrum or even the protoluminescence spectrum of dye molecules becomes child's play. The software includes:

• Live display of the measured spectrum
• Control of readout parameters like exposure time, gain, Bayer correction, ...
• Different operation modes like intensity, transmission and absorption spectroscopy using light sources and background correction.
• Easy measurement of spectral lines with high accuracy
• Spectra/data acquisition and its storage as raw data (csv) or as an image
• Live display of the camera image (UVC standard, e.g. webcam, ...) for easy adjustment of the spectrometer
• Implemented calibration routine for 2 or 3 freely selectable reference wavelengths (e.g. fluorescent tube spectrum, solar spectrum, etc.)

SpecControl is open-source, programmed in Python and can be loaded directly as executable code from our website or Github. All necessary libraries as well as the Python interpreter are implemented, so there is no need to install Python. Everything else can be found here.
