Even larger celestial objects such as the moon or the sun must first be found with the telescope at corresponding focal lengths or magnifications. If you want to image the moon, for example, you have to align the optics to less than one degree. Even though our finder does not contain magnifying optics, it saves you the tedious sighting over the telescope. A big advantage of our viewfinder is that when aligning it to the sun, you can simply take advantage of the shadows cast and thus work without any danger and in a way that is easy on the eyes.
The viewfinder fits on all our telescopes, but can also be easily clamped by means of an adapter in a standard viewfinder shoe or even on the flash mount (hot shoe) of a camera.
